On the evening of October 5th, the Chinese National Day Celebration Committee of the Golden Mountain Bay Area held a grand banquet in honor of the 113th anniversary of the Republic of China at the South Bay Overseas Chinese Education Center. The event attracted over 450 guests, all coming together to celebrate.
The majestic sound of drums set the stage for the National Day banquet. Chairman of the Chinese National Day Celebration Committee of the Golden Mountain Bay Area, Ye Yunhe, expressed that all members of the committee were filled with enthusiasm and dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to this event, celebrating the birthday of the Republic of China. He emphasized that the night’s program was very exciting and guaranteed to leave every guest satisfied. He also called on everyone to actively participate in the donation activities, with prizes including luxury economy class tickets provided by China Airlines and EVA Air up for grabs.
The Director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco, Lai Mingqi, and his wife also attended the National Day banquet. Lai Mingqi stated that since taking office as the Director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco, he has participated in over 1,800 events in the past four years and two months, deeply feeling the enthusiastic support of overseas compatriots for the Republic of China and Taiwan.
He emphasized that regardless of age or gender, this passion has never wavered. He urged everyone to continue to wholeheartedly support the free and democratic Republic of China, as well as Taiwan.
Director of the Overseas Chinese Education Center, Zhuang Yashu, expressed that as the flag of the Republic of China, with its blue sky, white sun, and red earth, fluttered in the wind, she believed that all overseas compatriots present were filled with infinite emotions. No matter how long everyone has lived abroad or how far they have traveled, their support for the Republic of China and Taiwan remains unwavering. It is precisely because of everyone’s passionate support that the Republic of China can shine on the international stage. She specially thanked overseas compatriot friends who have always supported the Republic of China and Taiwan on behalf of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee.
The program of the day was rich and diverse, including dance performances by the Wind Feather Dance Troupe titled “Plum Blossom Spirit”, emotional choral singing by the Shi Bei Ke Chorus, as well as exciting song and dance performances by Xiao Shumiao, the San Francisco Bay Area Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, the Line Dance Association, and the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in the Bay Area.
Finally, the banquet concluded with a fervent group sing-along, ending the night on a high note.
