“Devouring America” Producer’s Speech in California (Part 1): What is a Communist?

At a recent lecture in San Jose, California, Curtis Bowers, a former Idaho state legislator and producer of the documentary “Agenda: Grinding America Down,” spoke about how communism is destroying the United States and urged people to return to traditional values to defend humanity’s last hope.

Many believed that the free world had defeated communism after the collapse of the Soviet Union. However, Curtis Bowers discovered that the massive changes in America over the past 40 years were the result of communism’s internal erosion and subversion, which has now neared success.

For decades, Bowers has been studying the global communist movement and exposing its truths. During his speech at Calvary Church in San Jose on June 23, he warned the congregation that “they (communists) are disciples of it (Satan).”

He stated that America is currently embroiled in an invisible war. “We are in a spiritual battle. It is a real battle. Though we cannot see the war happening around us with our naked eyes, it is real.”

However, signs of the war can be seen through certain cultural phenomena. Bowers cited the transgender movement as an example, stating that “when you see a culture encouraging children to undergo transgender procedures, you realize that something is wrong. I tell you, this is a spiritual battle.”

He emphasized that they are not fighting against flesh-and-blood humans, but against the unseen dark world and demons, dedicated to destroying and subverting everything. They thrive on theft, murder, and destruction.

Discussing his in-depth research on the communist movement, Bowers revealed some key insights he has gained over time.

Firstly, Bowers pointed out that communists always set clear objectives. He found that most of the goals set by communists in the 19th century have been achieved, which is the main reason for the significant changes in America in recent years.

Secondly, he noted that communists often use lies to mask their true intentions. An example he observed in his research on communism was the creation of the “Defend Rights Act Committee” by Chicago communists, which turned out to be a deceptive communist organization despite its seemingly positive name.

Thirdly, Bowers mentioned that communists frequently employ a strategy of accusing others of what they are actually doing themselves. Therefore, when they accuse people of undermining democracy or other issues, it is often because they are the ones doing it. If they label you a racist, it’s usually because they are the true racists. This strategy effectively silences people as no one wants to be labeled a racist or nation destroyer.

In his lecture, Bowers warned the congregation not to be misled by Marxist terminologies. He stated that in today’s America, the term “Marxism” is frequently used as if communism no longer exists, only Marxism does. Nevertheless, Marxism is simply another form of communism. Embracing Marxist philosophy and attempting to implement its ideas actually means striving to create a communist society.

Bowers mentioned a quote from Lenin, stating, “Carefully, attentively, skillfully exploit every crack in the enemy, grasp every opportunity to gain public support. So, seek any ally that can be used to gain more ground. Even if that ally is temporary, wavering, unstable, unreliable, or conditional.”

He said that not understanding these words of Lenin signifies ignorance of Marxism. The core of Marxism is to fully utilize every person and every thing, regardless of their reliability, as long as they are useful. He believes that how the modern Christian church is being used by communists is a perfect example of implementing Marxist strategies.
