On August 31, 2024, the 8th NTDTV World Chinese Traditional Martial Arts Competition kicked off in Waldwick, New Jersey, USA. A total of 66 competitors from around the world participated in the preliminary rounds for the United States region.
The first to take the stage that day were the youth martial artists, totaling 17 participants. Despite their tender age, some of them have been practicing martial arts for over 10 years. They eagerly look forward to showcasing their skills acquired through martial arts training to a wider audience, aiming to revitalize traditional martial arts. In the women’s martial arts category, 14 contestants performed routines such as “Xingyi,” “Lotus Palm,” and “Eight Methods Fist.”
Six participants competed in the Southern Style martial arts category, demonstrating forms like “Wing Chun,” “Shaolin Plum Blossom Fist,” and “Diamond Fist.”
