From Monday, August 19, the Democratic National Convention (DNC) of the United States kicked off a four-day, four-night conference in Chicago. Vice President Kamala Harris is set to officially accept the party’s presidential nomination.
The theme for the first day of the convention was “For the People.” President Biden delivered a speech on the opening night of the Democratic Party Convention.
Prior to President Biden’s speech, Democratic Congressman Wiley Nickel of North Carolina reviewed the achievements of the president. He told a reporter from NTD Kelly Wright that Vice President Kamala Harris has the ability to build upon their foundation, and predicted that supporters of Nikki Hale will join the Harris-Waltz camp.
