“New York’s ‘Best Pizza’ to Make Spring Debut in Manhattan’s Little Italy Community”

L’Industrie Pizzeria, lauded by many diners as the “best pizza slice in New York,” is set to open a new location in the spring of this year in Little Italy, Chinatown, adding to its existing two outlets in the city.

According to the food media outlet Eater, the new store will be located at 197 Grand Street, between Mulberry Street and Mott Street, taking over the space formerly occupied by the renowned restaurant, Margherita. The new store will be next to the historic Ferrara Bakery & Cafe, which has been in operation for 134 years, offering a unique combination of pizza and classic Italian desserts, creating a sense of pilgrimage for food enthusiasts.

This will be L’Industrie’s second branch in Manhattan, following its establishment in the West Village in 2023, with the brand’s roots tracing back to its founding in Williamsburg in 2017. The new store is expected to open its doors to customers around March.

L’Industrie blends traditional Italian techniques with New York-style pizza, featuring thin and structured crusts made from natural fermentation and using ingredients that lean towards Italian tradition without veering into extravagance. The menu includes classic flavors like Margherita and sausage, as well as the popular burrata slice, all at prices that maintain the brand’s commitment to an approachable “corner pizza shop” positioning.
