Tang Wei Appears with 9-Year-Old Daughter at Airport, Requests Netizens Not to Take Photos of the Child

Chinese Actress Tang Wei and Her 9-Year-Old Daughter Spotted at Beijing Airport

Chinese actress Tang Wei was recently spotted at Beijing airport with her 9-year-old daughter, Summer, by netizens. In the photos, she was wearing a simple T-shirt and jeans, with a charming smile on her face. When interacting with onlookers, she clasped her hands together and kindly asked everyone not to photograph the child.

On July 5th, a netizen encountered Tang Wei at the airport. She was dressed in a dark grey short-sleeved T-shirt, paired with casual jeans, wearing black-framed glasses, and her hair tied up in a neat ponytail. Her fair complexion made her look nothing like a 45-year-old person.

This time, Tang Wei appeared with her daughter. Even though 9-year-old Summer was wearing a large mask and even if she was caught on camera, she wouldn’t be recognizable, but when she saw the netizens taking photos and videos with their phones, Tang Wei immediately turned to her daughter, asking her to move aside and avoid being captured by the camera.

A netizen filming the video said to Tang Wei that even if her daughter was inadvertently filmed, it wouldn’t be a big issue as they would pixelate the child’s face to protect her privacy. Upon hearing this, Tang Wei visibly relaxed, clasping her hands together in gratitude towards the netizen and reminding them to pixelate if they capture her child.

Some netizens mentioned they were wearing the same necklace as Tang Wei and the actress then turned around to show her necklace to the fans. After seeing the footage, many netizens couldn’t help but praise Tang Wei, calling her “adorable”, “beautiful and approachable”, and saying she gives off a youthful vibe.

While going through the boarding procedures, Tang Wei naturally squatted down, warmly hugging her daughter’s shoulder and teaching her how to proceed. During this outing, Tang Wei was nurturing her daughter’s ability to handle situations. After completing the procedures, Tang Wei walked her daughter to the boarding gate. When someone greeted her, she responded with a wave and a smile, displaying no airs of a celebrity but rather as friendly as a next-door sister.

Tang Wei met South Korean director Kim Tae-yong through the 2011 movie “Late Autumn” and got married in 2014, welcoming their daughter in August 2016. In recent years, Tang Wei has shone brightly in the South Korean film industry. With her role in “A Decision to Break Up” directed by Park Chan-wook, she won several Best Actress awards at prestigious events such as the 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards, the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards, and the 16th Asian Film Awards, becoming the first foreign actress to win a Best Actress award in the history of the Blue Dragon Awards.

Last year, Tang Wei received the “Most Popular Actor Award” at the Blue Dragon Awards for her work in the film “Wonderland” alongside her husband. During interviews, she impressed many by fluently switching between Korean, English, and Chinese to express her gratitude. In July last year, Tang Wei and Kim Tae-yong celebrated their 10th anniversary. At that time, she shared a family photo on Instagram, receiving many blessings from netizens and dispelling rumors of divorce.
