NMIXX’s Taipei FAN CON includes over 20 prepared songs with two in Chinese.

On May 18th and 19th, popular South Korean girl group NMIXX held their first fan concert “2024 NMIXX THE 1ST FAN CONCERT NMIXX CHANGE UP: MIXX UNIVERSITY in TAIPEI” at TICC Taipei International Conference Center. Over the two days of performances, they prepared different setlists, even singing Chinese songs like A-LIN’s “Dear Friend” and Stefanie Sun’s “First Day,” much to the delight of their fans.

NMIXX, composed of Haewon, Lily, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin, arrived in Taiwan on the 17th and immediately greeted the media and fans upon their arrival at Taoyuan Airport, showing their approachable nature.

During the FAN CONCERT, NMIXX’s opening video took everyone back to school days as they appeared in modified white school uniform outfits. They kicked off the concert with popular songs “TANK” and “Soñar.”

During the greeting segment, Haewon mentioned their visit to Taiwan for the Showcase Tour last June and expressed how each visit feels different, creating new memories each time.

Bae talked about meeting fans last year at the same venue in Taiwan and how excited and happy she was to meet them again this time. She even said in Chinese, “NSWER! I miss you guys!” which was met with enthusiastic cheering from the audience.

As part of the university-themed event, the members reintroduced themselves, with leader Haewon welcoming everyone to “NMIXX University” in Chinese. She briefly stumbled over her lines, leading to a humorous moment that the fans enjoyed.

Kyujin joked, “But we enrolled last year, now we are second-year students, so I’m the older sister, Kyujin sister? Therefore, NSWER are my juniors.”

Regarding the song “Soñar,” which was one of the opening tracks, Sullyoon explained that it means “dreaming” in Spanish, symbolizing their wish to dream happily with everyone. She also said in Chinese, “Let’s dream together.”

During conversations about food, NMIXX expressed gratitude towards the staff and fans for their hospitality, mentioning they had enjoyed delicious food during their trip and even learned the Chinese names for various dishes, showing their love for Taiwanese cuisine.

Over two days of performances, NMIXX prepared over 20 songs and delivered a meticulously planned concert experience with unique content for both days.

On May 18th, they performed Girls’ Generation’s subunit TTS’s “Twinkle,” ITZY’s “WANNABE,” Girls’ Generation’s “I GOT A BOY,” and the Chinese song “Dear Friend” by A-LIN.

On May 19th, NMIXX performed Orange Caramel’s “Catallena,” TWICE’s “YES or YES,” and added Stefanie Sun’s “First Day.” When the audience heard the melody of “First Day,” they not only cheered but also sang along and clapped to the beat.

NMIXX also sang songs like “DICE,” “O.O,” “Young, Dumb, Stupid,” “PAXXWORD,” “Roller Coaster,” “My Gosh,” and “HOME.” Despite it being a fan concert, their performance was almost like a full concert experience, with different setlists each day, including two Chinese songs, showcasing their sincerity and dedication to their fans.
