A young mother in the UK has had quite a surprise with her third son, Navy, who was born with a full head of thick, silky brown hair. This was a stark contrast to her first two sons who had very sparse, almost non-existent hair at birth.
Chenice, a content creator, resides in Essex, England with her husband and three sons. Last year, during an ultrasound check for Navy, the doctors mentioned to her that their unborn son appeared to have an unusually large amount of hair.
“It sounded too funny to be true. But at the time, I thought, ‘Well, it can’t possibly be that much,'” 26-year-old Chenice told Epoch Times. “However, when we saw him for the first time after birth, we just burst out laughing, ‘Oh my goodness, look at all that hair!'”
Chenice jokingly said that Navy’s unique case may confirm an old saying: if a baby has a lot of hair, the mother will experience heartburn during pregnancy.
While Chenice had experienced some discomfort in her stomach with her first two pregnancies, her reaction during her pregnancy with Navy was completely different. She shared, “I felt heartburn frequently, and even had severe acid reflux every night.”
The couple did not do anything special with Navy’s hair and tried to maintain its natural appearance. His hair naturally had a “very neat side part.” However, Chenice occasionally uses a comb to tidy up Navy’s hair, and he never minds.
“I think because he was born with so much hair, I’ve been doing it since day one, so he’s been used to it,” she said.
As Chenice began sharing photos of Navy’s thick hair on social media, many commenters remarked that the baby’s hair would not last long. But the reality proved otherwise.
“His hair keeps growing,” Chenice said. “Now the ends are starting to curl because we all have naturally curly hair.”
A video shared on Chenice’s Instagram shows her gently brushing Navy’s hair as he smiles contentedly.
The video quickly went viral after its release, receiving numerous humorous comments. Netizens were all charmed by Navy’s innocent cuteness.
One commenter wrote, “This little guy is already prepared to be a president.”
Another said, “He’s 40 years old this year and working in finance.”
One netizen expressed astonishment at the baby’s remarkable hair volume, saying, “Wow… when healthcare workers were recording his birth weight, they should remember to subtract the weight of his full hair.”
Chenice mentioned that she believes all her three sons were equally adorable at birth, but Navy’s exceptionally thick hair has garnered him extra attention.
