Mainland AI Top Executive Suddenly Dismissed, Accused of Infidelity by Online Reports.

Recently, Chinese AI industry giant, Keda Xunfei, announced the dismissal of its Deputy General Manager of the Brand Market Center, Han Yuchen. This decision came after a 22-page report surfaced online accusing Han of engaging in an extramarital affair with a female subordinate.

On August 31st, Keda Xunfei issued a notice regarding the personnel adjustment in the Brand Market Center, stating that Han Yuchen’s position as Deputy General Manager was terminated, and his responsibilities would be taken over by the General Manager of the Brand Market Center, Wu Junhua.

Internal sources within the company confirmed the personnel changes but stated that the “reasons for the dismissal are currently unclear.” As of September 1st, Keda Xunfei had not publicly responded to the online allegations or the relationship between the report and the personnel adjustment.

According to reports from ZAKER Finance, the notice was issued by the Organizational Development and Human Resources Department of Keda Xunfei, without specifying whether Han Yuchen still holds other positions within the company or remains employed there.

On the same day as Han Yuchen’s dismissal, a 22-page PDF document started circulating online. The report claimed to be from the spouse of Keda Xunfei employee Zhu Qian, accusing Han Yuchen of having an extramarital relationship with his wife. The material included chat screenshots, interactions on a short video platform, hotel check-in records, and alleged that Han Yuchen and Zhu Qian had maintained an inappropriate relationship for over a year.

Social media users compared the male subject in the expose’s profile picture with Han Yuchen’s WeChat profile picture from March of this year, noting a high degree of similarity. This led to widespread discussions and speculation on various online platforms.

As of September 1st, there is no definitive confirmation from authoritative sources regarding the authenticity of the allegations. Reports from Nandu Bay Finance and Society stated that attempts to contact Keda Xunfei for comments on the matter have not yielded a public response from the company.

Additional reports suggested that Han Yuchen had previously faced internal complaints, though there is currently a lack of public confirmation from the company on these claims.

Having joined Keda Xunfei at the end of 2018, Han Yuchen was instrumental in establishing the group’s Public Relations Department from scratch, serving in roles such as PR Director and Vice President during his nearly eight-year tenure. In March of this year, he addressed rumors of layoffs circulating online on behalf of Keda Xunfei, and in July, he participated in public events as a Vice President of Keda Xunfei, presenting the Stellar Model.

Taking over the responsibilities previously held by Han Yuchen, Wu Junhua is an experienced professional in Xunfei’s brand system, currently serving as Vice President and General Manager of the Brand Market Center.

This incident comes at a challenging time for Keda Xunfei, with the company facing performance pressures. The semi-annual report released by the company on August 20th for the year 2026 showed a 6.52% year-on-year increase in operating income to 11.623 billion yuan. However, the net profit attributable to the parent company was a loss of 204 million yuan, narrowing by 14.68% year-on-year, while the non-GAAP net loss widened by 74.88% year-on-year to 637 million yuan. During this period, the company’s stock price dropped by over 40% from its peak, and its market value briefly fell below 100 billion yuan.

Analysts point out that amid performance pressures and a declining stock price, scandals involving senior management’s moral conduct could further exacerbate the company’s brand reputation and public opinion pressure. Additionally, in recent years, Keda Xunfei’s education hardware products have faced consumer complaints related to incorrect answers, system freezes, and maintenance costs.
