Unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have long been a subject of mystery and intrigue, with many questioning whether they have the ability to disrupt time or at least interfere with timekeeping devices such as watches. Recently declassified files on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) from the Pentagon have shed new light on this phenomenon, with a witness account from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) seeming to provide some answers.
According to a report by NewsNation on Sunday, in the UFO report released by the Pentagon, UFO witnesses confirmed that after observing a mysterious airborne light in the western United States earlier this year, their mechanical watches had suddenly advanced by 25 minutes.
The FBI’s recorded witness statements reveal that two individuals, possibly serving in the U.S. military, informed the FBI that while they were conducting a nighttime patrol by car, they suddenly spotted a “red light on the western mountain ridge” at an altitude between 5000 and 7000 feet. Soon after, six to ten more lights appeared overhead at their location.
The witness report stated: “These lights, including the original one observed, appeared to be ‘synchronized’ and were moving together in an east/southeast direction.”
Eventually, one of the lights descended while the rest maintained their group movement until they all disappeared.
One of the witnesses had used night vision optics to observe closely and determined that each red light was actually composed of “three separate lights arranged in a triangle or diamond shape,” with the three lights moving synchronously.
Later that night, the two witnesses spotted two more lights approximately 1000 feet away, either just above or very close to the ground. These lights also disappeared shortly after.
Upon leaving the scene, one of the military personnel inquired about the time with the other individual, only to discover that his analog wristwatch was 25 minutes ahead of the digital watches, the car’s digital clock, and the times displayed on their phones.
The FBI report noted that the military personnel wearing the analog watch had been constantly checking the time throughout the day, and it had been accurate until the UFO encounter.
How can this time discrepancy be explained? Theoretical physicist Avi Loeb, who studies unidentified aerial phenomena, suggests that it could be due to some kind of “electromagnetic effect” that influenced one method of timekeeping but not another.
Loeb expressed: “If this is technology developed by a hostile nation, we need to understand it as it pertains to national security. It’s also possible that we’re dealing with certain ‘black projects’ in the military… And finally, it’s possible that this is a manifestation of some form of extraterrestrial technology. If it turns out to be the latter, it would be a significant scientific discovery.”
