Explosion at a Firecracker Warehouse in Guangxi Resounds Through the Valley.

On the morning of May 25th, a fireworks sales company warehouse in Donglan County, Hechi City, Guangxi was hit by falling rocks from a mountainside, leading to an explosion.

A viral video shows the warehouse located at the foot of a mountain, with flames and thick smoke billowing from the scene, accompanied by a massive explosion echoing through the valley.

According to reports by the Huashang News, an eyewitness mentioned that early Sunday morning, the sound of nearby fireworks woke them up, later realizing that an explosion had occurred at a fireworks warehouse in a mountain valley in the direction of Sanong in Donglan County.

Officials from the Donglan County Emergency Management Bureau stated that the recent continuous rainfall caused loose rocks from the mountain to fall, creating sparks that ignited and led to the explosion.

It was explained by the staff that the incident took place at the warehouse of the Dragon Fireworks and Firecrackers Company in Donglan County, which is a wholesale company selling fireworks, not manufacturing them.

On that day at noon, the person in charge of the Dragon Fireworks and Firecrackers Limited Company in Donglan County mentioned, “It happened around 7 a.m., the higher mountainside behind us had rocks falling down, hitting the warehouse directly, causing friction with the fireworks and igniting a fire.”

“The total area of the two warehouse buildings of our company is over 1000 square meters, all of which were engulfed by the fire, storing fireworks inside. The firefighting and emergency response teams are still at the scene handling the situation, and the extent of the damage can only be assessed after the fire is completely extinguished,” the responsible person stated, clarifying that neighboring villagers’ buildings were not affected.

In response to this, the Donglan County Emergency Management Bureau reported that on the morning of the 25th at around 7 a.m., the Dragon Fireworks and Firecrackers warehouse in Donglan Town, Donglan County, was hit by a falling rock from the mountain causing spontaneous combustion, and by 12:40 p.m., the flames were completely extinguished, with no casualties during the rescue process.
