Auckland police shoot and kill murder suspect.

On Wednesday night, a Bay Area Oakland police officer shot and killed a murder suspect from Sacramento. No police officers were injured in the shooting incident.

According to a press release from the Oakland Police Department, the shooting took place in the block of 1000 16th Street West Oakland, while Sacramento police were conducting a homicide investigation in the area. The Sacramento police informed the Oakland police of the investigation and requested assistance in apprehending the murder suspect at a residence.

When Oakland police arrived at the scene to secure the area, the suspect emerged from the house with a firearm.

The police stated that several officers from the Oakland Police Department fired at the murder suspect, hitting him with bullets. Before medical personnel arrived, the officers began administering first aid, but the suspect died on the spot, with no officers injured.

In accordance with department policy, two Oakland police officers have been placed on paid administrative leave. The Oakland Police Department’s Homicide Division, Internal Affairs Department, and the city’s Community Police Review Board are conducting an investigation into the case.
