Mainland Internet Celebrity’s Private Plane Crashes in Yancheng, Resulting in One Death and One Injury

On the afternoon of July 24, a small helicopter suddenly crashed next to a residential building near the government compound in Bajuzhen, Binhai County, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. There were two people on board, one of whom died and the other was injured.

Witnesses reported hearing the buzzing sound of the helicopter engine in the sky, followed by a sharp metallic friction noise. Before anyone could react, the small helicopter plummeted to the ground rapidly, instantly scattering aircraft fragments and smoke in the air.

Mr. Zhang, a local resident, told reporters that the accident occurred around 3 p.m., and the helicopter crashed not far from the Bajuzhen government compound, next to a large comprehensive supermarket. He saw two crew members on the aircraft, one of whom was seriously injured, while the other sustained injuries. Both individuals have been taken away by ambulances, and fortunately, no one else was harmed.

Online videos show a small helicopter nose-diving and crashing next to a residential building, with a noticeable “bloodstain” on a nearby wall. Emergency responders were seen providing aid at the scene, surrounded by many curious residents and with a police car parked on the street.

According to the hospital treating the injured individuals, “one has been taken to the Intensive Care Unit, and the other has unfortunately passed away.”

After the video footage was shared online, keen-eyed netizens noticed the words “Planting Dance” printed on the underside of the helicopter, immediately identifying the owner as mainland Chinese internet celebrity Zhang Jingsheng, who recently hosted his son’s wedding ceremony. Zhang Jingsheng is the founder of “Planting Dance” and has over 450,000 followers.

Concerned fans rushed to leave messages on Zhang Jingsheng’s video account, inquiring about his safety. He reassured them through group messaging that he was not on the helicopter and was dealing with matters at the local police station. It was reported that the individuals on board the aircraft were Zhang Jingsheng’s private pilot and a passenger.
