On May 4th, the South Korean girl group Billlie held a fan concert in Seoul titled “Your B, I’m B (Belllie’ve You)”. Member Moon Sooya, who went through the loss of her elder brother Moon Bin last year, shed tears during the event. Members of ASTRO, the group Moon Bin belonged to, including Cha Eunwoo, MJ, Jinjin, and Yoon Sanha, were present to support her.
Last April, Moon Sooya’s elder brother Moon Bin tragically passed away, leading her to pause her activities in the entertainment industry. Although she briefly rejoined the group in June, she had to halt her activities again in September due to health issues. Last month, the agency announced that Billlie members Moon Sooya and Suhyun, who had been on a long break for rest and recovery, had successfully returned to the group.
At the fan concert held on the 4th, Billlie prepared Moon Bin’s favorite fan song “flowerld” as a tribute. Moon Sooya couldn’t hold back tears as she remembered her brother on stage. She expressed gratitude for her members for standing by her during her break and stated that her goal was to perform together with the seven members for their official fans Belllie’ve.
Moon Sooya mentioned that she wished her brother Moon Bin could see the fan concert, saying, “He is either watching from afar or cheering me on up close. I will work hard to show a better side of me, please continue to support me in the future.”
ASTRO members, Moon Bin’s former teammates, also specially attended to support Moon Sooya. ASTRO’s official X (Twitter) even shared a group photo of the members with Moon Sooya and wrote, “Sooya! Congratulations on your first fan concert, you’ve worked hard in preparation! You did very, very well, please continue to show us many amazing performances in the future.”
On the same day, Cha Eunwoo also posted on his personal official IG a photo of himself enjoying the performance, congratulating Moon Sooya on her first fan concert. Jinjin also sent his blessings with a “Congratulations” message. Sanha praised Moon Sooya, saying, “You did very well, looking very cool.”
Furthermore, Sanha shared a group photo of ASTRO members with Moon Sooya on his personal official IG. As May 5th coincided with Children’s Day in South Korea and May 8th is Parents’ Day, Sanha wrote, “To us, it’s a day for adults. Thanks to our parents for giving birth to us,” commemorating the occasion.
