California Line Dance Association Holds Celebration Banquet in South Bay

The American California Line Dance Association held a celebration banquet in the South Bay on May 17th to thank the efforts of all students and successfully organize the association’s 20th anniversary celebration.

That evening, approximately two hundred people attended the celebration banquet, including Director Zhuang Yashu of the Golden Gate Bay Area Cultural and Educational Center, Guo Huizhen, Head of the News Division of the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco, Overseas Chinese Affairs Commissioner Wu Yiming, Overseas Chinese Affairs Advisory Commissioner Chen Junya, Meiyi and her husband, as well as Hua Yunhui Chairman Chen Chaoquan.

During the celebration banquet, Lin Gui Xiang, President of the American California Line Dance Association, honored eight couples who have been participating in line dancing together for a long time. Among them are the 84-year-old couple Peter and Angel Yu, who expressed that line dancing has made them feel younger with each dance. Lin Gui Xiang also introduced a 98-year-old line dance student, Mrs. Li Biqi. Additionally, she presented appointment letters to 15 elite team members of the association.

Lin Gui Xiang expressed her gratitude to all the teams for their wholehearted efforts, leading to the successful completion of the 20th anniversary annual meeting of the Line Dance Association. She mentioned that preparing for this annual meeting required a year of hard work and everyone’s dedication, so tonight, she hopes everyone can relax and truly enjoy the celebration banquet.

Director Zhuang Yashu of the Cultural and Educational Center and TECO Division Head Guo Huizhen also delivered speeches. The banquet also featured band performances, singing and dancing to liven up the atmosphere, and a raffle event.
