Minnesota Catholic School Shooting Incident: Governor Tim Walz Dispatches Police
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz confirmed a shooting incident at a Catholic school in the state and stated that law enforcement has been deployed to the scene.
In a social media post, Walz expressed, “I have been briefed on the shooting at Annunciation Catholic School and will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.”
“My thoughts and prayers are with the children and teachers who have had their first week of school disrupted by this terrible act of violence,” he added.
He further mentioned that the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the State Patrol have arrived at the scene to investigate the incident.
Meanwhile, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey mentioned that they are closely monitoring the violent incident in the south Minneapolis area and have activated an emergency response team.
