Following the recent death of Liu Wenjie, the Director of the Finance Department in Hunan Province, another official from the province’s Discipline Inspection Commission has fallen to his death. This marks the second incident of an official falling to their death in Hunan Province within a month.
According to a report by Upstream News on the 20th, Li Shengping, the head of the Discipline Inspection Office at Ningyuan County Committee in Hunan, fell to his death. Local sources stated that Li Shengping, aged 49, fell to his death at his workplace on October 18 for reasons unknown.
Reportedly, Li Shengping’s body is currently at the funeral home in Ningyuan County, and a memorial service will be held at the funeral home in the afternoon of the 20th.
A colleague of Li Shengping revealed that he had been suffering from depression and had been seeking treatment at the hospital since 2022.
The news of the Discipline Inspection Commission official’s fatal fall has sparked discussions among netizens.

The most recent incident occurred on September 19 when Liu Wenjie, the Party Secretary and Director of the Finance Department in Hunan Province, fell to her death. Two other men also fell to their deaths simultaneously, causing a stir.
Media personality Jiang Wang, who previously worked in the banking industry in mainland China and currently resides in Australia, revealed to Epoch Times the reasons behind Liu Wenjie’s death, indicating that the Director was involved in economic disputes with the two other deceased individuals.
