Chongqing police officer conceals marriage and goes on blind dates with multiple women, reported

Recently, a woman posted a video on social media accusing Ma Mou Xing, a policeman at the Liangjiang New District Public Security Bureau in Chongqing, of pretending to be divorced or single on a matchmaking platform while actually being married and having children.

In the video, the woman claimed that she met Ma Mou Xing, who claimed to be single, through the Chongqing Shopaholic Blind Date platform in August 2022. After sporadic chatting and getting to know each other, they “developed into a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.”

Soon after, Ma Mou Xing suggested meeting in the woman’s city. “On July 25, 2023, Ma Mou Xing came to see me, took me out for dinner and drinks, then deceived me into going to a hotel where he forced himself on me.”

The next day, the woman reported the incident to the local police by phone. A few days later, Ma Mou Xing contacted Li Li to “negotiate a settlement” and threatened to jump off a building. Fearing for her life and reputation, the woman agreed to a settlement and had Ma Mou Xing write a “compensation statement.”

According to the “compensation statement,” Ma Mou Xing compensated the woman with 50,000 yuan and made a written apology.

However, to the woman’s surprise, Ma Mou Xing immediately posted the “compensation statement” at her workplace, causing damage to her personal reputation and disrupting her normal work and life.

The woman returned the 50,000 yuan to Ma Mou Xing and reported the incident to the Chongqing police seeking justice for herself. During the investigation, the police unintentionally revealed that Ma Mou Xing was married and had children. The woman stated that she only wanted to have a normal romantic relationship and never expected to be involved in an affair.

Later, the woman shared her experience on the Chongqing Shopaholic platform, where she learned from other female netizens that while dating her, Ma Mou Xing was also in contact with several other women, providing inconsistent information about his marital status, sometimes claiming to be “single” and other times “divorced without children.”

According to the woman’s disclosure to Cover News, “There were five girls who just communicated with me to confirm their name, appearance, and occupation.” Cover News contacted two of them, confirming the woman’s statement.

Based on the information provided by the woman, Cover News found a police officer named Ma Mou Xing at the Liangjiang New District Branch of the Chongqing Public Security Bureau with the police number 226***. Upon Li Li’s confirmation, it was verified that this police officer was indeed the Ma Mou Xing she had been involved with.

Subsequently, a reporter from the media contacted the Special Police Brigade of the Liangjiang New District Branch of the Chongqing Public Security Bureau where Ma Mou Xing is stationed. The person in charge refused to respond and hung up the phone. The Liangjiang New District Public Security Bureau stated that they are investigating the matter and will take appropriate action after the investigation concludes.
