To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the New York Transit Museum will launch a special event on April 18th called the “Member Express,” featuring a nostalgic journey aboard a vintage BMT Standards antique train manufactured a century ago. Departing from the Court St Station in Brooklyn, the train will travel along historic subway routes, allowing members to revisit the evolution of public transportation in New York City.
This event is part of the museum’s 50th-anniversary celebration and is a highlight of the April “Member Appreciation Month.” Scheduled to take place from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, April 18th, the event will be held at the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn. The train will depart from the museum, travel to the A line Lefferts Blvd, then head north into Manhattan with stops at Jay St, West 4 St, 59 St, 125 St, and finally ending at 175 Street, with the entire journey lasting approximately two hours.
Tickets for this event are only available for members, with adult tickets priced at $50 and children’s tickets at $30. Children aged two and above must have a ticket for entry, and those under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. All tickets are non-refundable, and unused ticket sales will be considered as donations.
