As the countdown to the New Year of 2026 begins, adjustments to the operating hours of major retailers, supermarkets, and public institutions across the United States are on the horizon.
New Year’s Eve is the last chance for shopping, and on New Year’s Day, some mainstream supermarkets will be closed.
Here is a detailed list of operating hours for New Year’s Eve on Wednesday (December 31) and New Year’s Day on Thursday (January 1):
– Target: Open until 9:00 pm on New Year’s Eve; normal operations on New Year’s Day.
– Macy’s: Regular operating hours for both days.

– Best Buy: Open until 6:00 pm on New Year’s Eve; normal operations on New Year’s Day.
