21-Year-Old Female Anchor in Changsha Dies After Being Hit by Falling Object During Stroll

Recently, a high-altitude falling object accident occurred in Beichen Delta Community in Kaifu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, when a 21-year-old online female anchor named Qiqi was hit and killed while walking on the street.

According to a report by Red Star News, around 7 p.m. on August 1, Qiqi was walking outside of E3 area in Beichen Delta Community, Kaifu District in Changsha City when she was struck by a falling object on the sidewalk around the community perimeter.

On August 2, a homeowner in the community where the incident took place disclosed that Qiqi was a female anchor on a well-known gaming live streaming platform. The spot where the incident occurred was near Building 6 of the community, with a platform separating it from the building.

The homeowner also mentioned that Building 6, where the accident happened, has been undergoing exterior wall maintenance recently, and some homeowners have complained about serious water leaks from the building’s exterior walls.

The victim’s uncle told Sanxiang City News that his niece lived with her father in the community. On the night of the incident, she went out for a walk, never expecting the accident to happen. “Based on the current investigation, it is likely that she was hit by a falling cement block from the exterior wall,” he said.

A relative of Qiqi’s boyfriend mentioned that Qiqi was from Hunan and was living in Guangdong with her boyfriend, but had recently returned to Hunan due to some matters. Qiqi’s boyfriend rushed from Guangdong to Changsha upon learning from the police that she was hit on the back of her head by a falling cement piece from the exterior wall, resulting in her immediate death.

The relative also noted that Qiqi was raised by her grandmother and father, and at only 21 years old, she had been planning to get engaged by the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, but the unexpected tragedy occurred.

On the day before the incident, Qiqi had posted a video on Douyin (TikTok) eating extremely spicy hot pot noodles while encouraging herself, saying, “Being in this world, live on strongly,” “Love yourself well, love the little cats well, and love my family well.”
