According to reports from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Supervisory Commission, Liu Yuncheng, born in May 1968 in Songtao, Guizhou Province, had a long career in various government positions before assuming the role of head of the disciplinary inspection and supervision team of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Natural Resources. However, he is now under investigation for suspected serious violations of discipline and law.
In the past year, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Natural Resources has seen a systematic cleanup effort, with six other officials besides Liu Yuncheng being investigated for misconduct.
