Trump: Iranian President Seeks Ceasefire with One Condition Considered

President Trump (Donald Trump) of the United States stated on Wednesday that the President of Iran requested a ceasefire from the United States, with one condition for consideration: ensuring the smooth passage of the Strait of Hormuz.

In a post on his social media platform “Truth Social” on Wednesday morning, President Trump said, “The new president of Iran’s regime is far less radical than his predecessors and much smarter. He has just requested a ceasefire from the United States! We will only consider a ceasefire when the Strait of Hormuz is open, free, and clear. Until then, we will either completely destroy Iran or, in their words, send them back to the Stone Age!!!”

Following the breakdown of nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran, the United States and Israel initiated joint military operations against Iran starting on February 28, aimed at completely destroying Iran’s nuclear program, as well as its missile and drone production capabilities. Iran subsequently attacked ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, disrupting the navigation of this crucial waterway and causing a sharp rise in global oil prices.

One of President Trump’s top priorities is to ensure the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. On Monday, he warned Iran that if an agreement was not reached promptly between the United States and Iran, and if Iran did not open the Strait of Hormuz, the United States would completely destroy all of Iran’s energy systems, including power plants, oil wells, and the Khark Island.

When asked on Wednesday when the United States would consider ending the war with Iran, Trump told Reuters, “I cannot tell you for sure… but we will withdraw soon.”

He stated that the actions of the United States ensured that Iran would not possess nuclear weapons.

“They will not have nuclear weapons because they do not have the capacity to do so now,” the President said, adding that he would order all U.S. troops to withdraw, but would return for targeted strikes if necessary.
