In accordance with the latest announcement from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), major e-commerce platforms across the United States, as well as Walmart and Lowe’s physical stores, are currently urgently recalling over ten thousand units of the popular stainless steel gas grills. The product in question is prone to the glass on the built-in oven suddenly shattering during use, posing a serious risk of lacerations and bodily harm.
The item being recalled this time is the Cuisinart’s well-known “Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grills,” with an estimated 12,660 affected units nationwide.
The official statement highlights that the core safety issue with this grill lies in its “pizza oven” component. The reinforced glass door on the oven has reportedly shattered without warning in multiple incidents during high-temperature use, with the resulting glass shards posing a significant risk of severe lacerations to users of the grill.
The parent company of the brand, Conair LLC based in Stamford, Connecticut, confirmed that as of now, they have received 37 reports of the glass on this grill shattering, including one serious incident involving a fire. Thankfully, there have been no reports of casualties thus far.
The CPSC is urging households across America to immediately cease using grills with the following characteristics: sold between December 2024 and May 2026; and bearing the model code CGG-6331 (consumers can check the model on the white product label inside the metal door on the right side of the grill).
Consumers can proactively contact the company to register for the product recall, where with the original purchase receipt, they can opt for a full refund or choose to receive a $500 compensation check from the manufacturer.
