Juliette walks the red carpet at Venice Film Festival, veins popping on her arm unexpectedly steal the spotlight.

The 81st Venice Film Festival recently opened with Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie, 49, stepping onto the red carpet with her competition film “Maria.” She showcased her great figure in a champagne-colored tight-fitting gown, but the prominent veins on her arms raised concerns about whether she is too thin.

According to the American media Variety, Jolie portrays the late opera singer Maria Callas in the film “Maria,” directed by Chilean director Pablo Larraín. The film is competing in this year’s Venice Film Festival, and Jolie wore jewelry once owned and worn by Maria Callas, most notably the 1971 American Leopard brooch and the 1972 Rose brooch, both considered treasures by the brand Cartier. The Rose brooch, made of gold, platinum, diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, and rubies, has a unique mechanism that allows the petals to open and close.

After the screening of “Maria,” the audience gave an 8-minute standing ovation, with many moved to tears. Jolie seemed to be touched by the enthusiastic audience, wiping away tears at one point and turning her face away from the crowd.

Jolie, who changed into three different outfits to promote her new film, also showed her down-to-earth side on the red carpet. When she saw a wheelchair-bound spectator, she crouched down to greet them warmly. Especially eye-catching was her outfit on the red carpet, a strapless beige suit dress with a fur stole draped over her shoulders, adorned with a floral brooch, and paired with a pleated skirt, exuding elegance and glamour. However, her visible veins and blood vessels on her arms startled many fans, with many commenting online that she looks stunning but overly thin.

Earlier reports had claimed that Jolie’s weight had dropped to a worrisome 37 kilograms due to stress affecting her health.

Jolie’s ex-husband Brad Pitt also attended the festival with his film “Wolfs,” leading to concerns about a possible encounter between the two. However, after Jolie appeared at an event on August 29, Pitt arrived in Venice on August 31 with his colleague George Clooney. Due to Jolie and Pitt still undergoing divorce proceedings, the festival organizers deliberately kept their schedules separate to avoid any awkward encounters.
