Recently, in Hunan, Changsha, four workers were trapped during underground pipeline operations, resulting in one death and one missing person. It has been revealed by netizens that the deceased’s family members were threatened and monitored.
On July 21st, the Emergency Management Bureau of Tianxin District in Changsha reported that around 4:50 pm on the 20th, during underground pipeline surveying at a construction site on Xinchang Road in Tianxin District (Tianxin Avenue-Shuxiang Road), four workers were trapped underground. After the rescue operation, two individuals were saved, but unfortunately, one person died despite rescue efforts. Another worker remains missing.
The family members of the deceased worker left a message on social media on the 21st, saying, “It wasn’t until half past midnight last night that they found my brother-in-law, who was already stiff with blood coming out of all seven orifices! It’s heartbreaking to see! From the unbearable pain to the point of struggling to breathe, rest in peace, my brother-in-law! Also, it’s my brother-in-law’s cousin who is still missing.”
A source revealed, “My friend’s husband was also threatened and monitored.”

Hunan media reported on July 18 that in the coming week, Changsha will frequently experience “clump rains” due to the influence of disturbances from tropical low-pressure systems with easterly winds. “Clump rains,” also known as short-term heavy rains or local downpours.
The Changsha Meteorological Observatory issued a blue warning signal for thunderstorms and strong winds at 2:29 pm on the 20th. It is expected that in the next two hours, Xiangjiang New District, Yuhua District, Tianxin District, Furong District, Kaifu District, and Wangcheng District will experience gusts above level 7 accompanied by thunder and lightning, posing risks of disasters, prompting precautions. At 2:40 pm on the 20th, a yellow warning signal for heavy rain was issued, with rainfall expected to exceed 50 millimeters in the next 6 hours in Xiangjiang New District and Wangcheng District.
