Last week, in Hong Kong, Jay Chou, who held a world tour concert carnival, recently had a pleasant meeting with Stephen Chow during some free time. On July 2nd, Stephen Chow shared a photo on Instagram of the two of them having tea together. In the photo, Jay Chou can be seen standing on a soccer ball, attracting attention and hinting at a possible collaboration for the movie “Shaolin Soccer Women” (abbreviated as Women’s Soccer).
In the caption of the photo with Jay Chou, Stephen Chow wrote in Cantonese: “I heard that if a person doesn’t have dreams, they are no different from a dried fish. So, I wear Jay’s classic hat, put on his cool sunglasses, and shield myself from the worldly dust!”
The photo shows Stephen Chow and Jay Chou on an outdoor terrace, with the city skyline and natural landscape blending in the background. Both of them appear relaxed, holding tea cups, with Jay Chou standing on a soccer ball, drawing particular attention.
Stephen Chow continued in the caption: “With both feet tapping to the rhythm of Shaolin soccer, holding a pot of dreams in hand, I and Jay dilute the bitterness of reality together, brewing the sweet taste of life!” The post garnered nearly 200,000 likes within a few hours.
While Stephen Chow has always been low-key, since joining Instagram, he has been actively interacting with artists and fans. After meeting with JJ Lin and Mayday, Jay Chou held seven concerts in Hong Kong two years ago. Prior to that, Stephen Chow shared a photo on IG of himself drinking fine wine while listening to Jay Chou’s songs, with a message to meet in Hong Kong.
Following this, both “Zhous” shared photos of their wine-tasting discussions on IG. Stephen Chow even expressed his desire to collaborate, asking what they could do together, sparking enthusiastic comments from fans suggesting they make a movie together, host a program, or create a kung fu basketball production.
As to what collaborations the “Double Zhous” discussed last time, fans are eagerly curious. Jay Chou’s company, JVR Music, responded at the time, saying it was all about wine and art exchange. Stephen Chow’s new film “Women’s Soccer” was reported to have finished shooting in early June this year, with a powerful cast. Jay Chou could possibly be involved in the movie, either in acting or creating the theme song.
