Footage from the scene shows tables, chairs, and benches inside the shed destroyed, with multiple injured individuals lying on the ground. The white BMW involved in the incident had its front end and windows damaged, with what appeared to be a person trapped under the wheels. According to the publisher of the video, the accident was caused by a female driver accidentally hitting the shed while reversing.
Reported by Huashang Bao Da Feng News, on the morning of June 15th, villagers from Gongwang Village in Dayu Town were holding a funeral, dining under a shed when a car crashed into the gathering, causing injuries to some attendees who were later taken to the hospital.
On the evening of June 15th, the government of Dayu Town, Rudong County, Jiangsu Province, issued a situation report stating that at a villager’s doorstep in Gongwang Village, a small car caused injuries to individuals due to improper reversing by the driver. By 6 p.m., one person had died despite rescue efforts, one was severely injured, and the remaining six individuals were reported to be in stable condition without life-threatening injuries. The driver involved has been detained, and an investigation into the accident is currently underway.
