Hollywood superstar Keanu Reeves’ residence in Los Angeles was burglarized last December. After a year had passed, three stolen luxury watches, including a Rolex Submariner worth $9,000, were miraculously recovered in Chile.
According to CNN, the Chilean police discovered a Rolex Submariner watch on December 28 during an operation related to a robbery in eastern Santiago, inscribed with Keanu Reeves’ name “Reeves” and the words “2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five.”
Reports indicate that in 2021, Keanu Reeves gifted the Rolex Submariner watch to a stunt performer he worked with on “John Wick 4.” The price of this watch is approximately $9,000, according to the Rolex website.
At that time, Keanu Reeves generously gave custom Rolex Submariner watches to four stunt performers, Bruce Lee Concepcion, Jeremy Marinas, and Dave Camarillo, each receiving one. They excitedly posted photos on Instagram wearing the same watch alongside Keanu Reeves, exclaiming, “Best wrap gift ever!”
CNN cited local police sources stating that the three recovered watches during the raid all belonged to Keanu Reeves. The police also mentioned they arrested a 21-year-old man.
It is reported that Keanu Reeves’ house has been broken into multiple times by burglars. In December last year, police were called to his property on Hollywood’s Thrasher Avenue after receiving a report of a break-in. The Los Angeles Police Department’s report stated that the thieves “entered the property via the backyard, breaking windows to gain entry,” with Reeves not being at home at the time. In 2014, Keanu Reeves’ home was invaded twice within three days.
Keanu Reeves, a Canadian-born actor, is one of the most reputable male stars in Hollywood in recent years. At 60 years old, his shoulder-length hair and bearded look in the “John Wick” film series have gained popularity worldwide. Despite his acclaim in the film industry, he modestly stated in interviews that he is not materialistic. During filming, he voluntarily reduced his fees to cover production costs. When shooting “The Matrix,” he gifted each of the 12 stunt performers a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and awarded the crew a bonus of $1 million each, earning him the title of “Hollywood’s great gentle man.”
