Whether it’s the Beidou satellite navigation system or the “Eye of Heaven” FAST telescope, CETC is a key player in their development.
Due to its involvement in assisting the CCP in human rights abuses and other issues, CETC has faced multiple sanctions imposed by the U.S. government since 2018.
In recent years, senior executives within the CCP’s military industrial system, including CETC, have experienced a string of troubles. In April 2024, CETC’s vice general manager He Wenzhong was removed from his position.
