“Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Symphony on Earth” is set to be released in Taiwan this summer on July 12th. Starting from the first film in 1980, the “Doraemon” series has now reached its 43rd installment, accumulating over 130 million viewers. This film is a special one as it commemorates the 90th anniversary of the birth of the original creator, Fujiko F. Fujio.

The plot of “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Symphony on Earth” revolves around the disappearance of “music,” which is taken for granted in daily life, from the Earth. Doraemon and his friends embark on a grand adventure once again to save the Earth from this crisis.

Directed by Kazuaki Imai, who also directed the highly successful “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Treasure Island” which grossed 5.37 billion yen, this new installment promises to deliver a captivating experience for the audience.

Imai shared his thoughts on the film, stating, “When I finished my previous work, ‘Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s New Dinosaur,’ the world was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the situation became unprecedented. The direct contact and interaction between people were restricted, and the ones most affected by this were the children. One day, I saw my son, who couldn’t go out of the house, singing loudly in front of the TV, which deeply moved me.”

He further added, “At that moment, as I was touched by the power of music itself, I envisioned a scene where children and Doraemon embark on a great musical adventure together.”

For “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Symphony on Earth,” a new generation of voice actors has been brought in, with Kyouko Fukada voicing one of the characters, along with the popular voice actor Aoi Yuuki and the renowned anime singer Tsuki Amane, adding their talents to the cast.

The theme song of the movie, titled “Time Paradox,” is performed by the acclaimed Japanese singer-songwriter Vaundy. This marks his first time composing a theme song for an animated film, adding a vibrant touch to the musical adventure of Doraemon and his friends.
