New York– The Upstate New Century Corporation will kick off the third annual “Beautiful America” festival on June 12th (Thursday). The event will feature speeches from American generals, performances by renowned patriotic singers, a parade by the West Point Military Academy honor guard, carnival fireworks, and a variety of delicious food offerings. It aims to allow attendees to enjoy the summer while recognizing the beauty and hard-won freedom of America.
The organizers, New Century Corporation, stated that Orange County in New York has a veteran and military population of 6%, which is six times the national average, a figure of great pride. Therefore, each year in midsummer before Independence Day, they host this thematic celebration in Orange County to honor the contributions of American veterans, active-duty military personnel, and law enforcement officers. The Epoch Times will be a major sponsor of the event, offering discounted subscription services to veterans during the festival.
Ms. Pang Jin, a representative of the event organizer New Century Corporation, introduced, “This year marks the third edition of the ‘Beautiful America’ festival. Over the past three years, we have been working hard to build this brand, establish partnerships with mainstream organizations, audiences, as well as military and law enforcement communities.”
“In Chinese, ‘America’ means ‘beautiful country,’ which is not just the name of our festival but also our belief that America is beautiful. Many of our staff and volunteers have personally experienced religious oppression outside of America, which is why they cherish traditional American values and freedoms. They strive to make this event a success,” Pang said.
This year’s event promises to be even more diverse and enriching than before, with the addition of a classic car exhibition. The four-day festival and carnival activities are perfect for families to come out, enjoy the sights, and savor the food offerings.
Local radio personality Uncle Mike will serve as the master of ceremonies for the event. Echoing his sentiments, he expressed full support for the event, hoping to see such an exciting event flourish each year.
Furthermore, the New York branch of the Army National Guard of the United States has sponsored the event, bringing military vehicles for the community to experience and engaging in games and activities with the public.
Moreover, the “America is Beautiful” art competition and “What Makes America So Beautiful” essay contest, sponsored by The Epoch Times, are currently underway and have received numerous submissions from schools and communities. An award ceremony will also be held during the festival.
