Torrential rain in Zixing, Hunan province: At least 4 dead, 3 missing, many injured.

Several towns in Zixing, Hunan Province, have been hit by heavy rainstorms, with eight villages in Baomian Mountain Yao Township losing communication with the outside world due to the disruption. According to official reports, as of 9:00 pm on the 29th, four people have died, three are missing, and 17 have been seriously injured in Zoumensi Town and four villages in Baomian Mountain Yao Township.

Due to the consistent cover-up by the Chinese Communist Party, there are frequent doubts from the public regarding the accuracy of official data.

Baomian Mountain is located in the northeast of Guidong County, western Hunan Province, on the eastern part of Zixing City. According to CCTV, the roads leading to Baomian Mountain Yao Township have been severely damaged, with landslides and bridge collapses occurring every few hundred meters on average.

Currently, 15 villages in Baomian Mountain Yao Township are facing severe disruptions in transportation, electricity, and communication, making it difficult to deliver emergency supplies, with communication being possible only through satellite phones.

As communication remains cut off, many netizens have expressed concerns online: “I’ve been unable to reach my family for nearly 60 hours.” “I can’t get in touch with the situation at Xin Zhang’s home in Lianhua Village, Baomian Mountain Yao Township.” “I hope it’s just a lack of power and communication causing the disconnect; I haven’t slept more than 5 hours in the past few days.”

Furthermore, some netizens have made pleas for help online: “In Zhoutang Village, Yechichongzu, Qingyao Town, Zixing City, Hunan, two people are buried, please come to the rescue.” “Longxi Township in Zixing is still without power! There are many elderly people and children left behind, as well as many children spending their summer vacation there!” “Tianping in Baomian Mountain needs rescue supplies; the elderly and children have gone without food and water for days, and they are unable to contact anyone due to power and water outages.” “Chengkang Village in Baomian Mountain Yao Township is in urgent need; houses have collapsed, flooding has occurred, the roads are destroyed, and there is no water, electricity, or food. The households are full of elderly people and children; please, government, come to the rescue.”

There are also online comments questioning the lack of flood prevention measures: “Flooding occurs every year, why aren’t preventive measures being taken? Does the location change every year?” “I want to know which cities in China have not been flooded.”
