After the assassination attempt on Trump, New York City boosts security measures.

On Saturday, following the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump during a political rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, New York City has intensified its security measures.

Mayor Adams expressed on X platform that the incident in Pennsylvania was “shocking,” and regardless of one’s political stance, “we should all agree that violence is wrong, and we should be able to express differing opinions peacefully,” “Political violence has no place in this country.”

While offering prayers for “former President Trump, his family, and everyone present at the event that day,” he also mentioned that “out of an abundance of caution, the New York Police Department is increasing patrols at certain locations in five boroughs.”

These locations include Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, 40 Wall Street, Foley Square, and City Hall in Manhattan.

Currently, there are no credible threats in New York City.

During the rally on Saturday, the shot fired grazed the upper part of Trump’s right ear. The assassination attempt resulted in one fatality and two people sustaining serious injuries. The incident is under investigation.
