The Northern California Chinese School Association recently announced that it will be holding its annual conference and president handover ceremony with the theme “Colorful Life Blooms” on July 20 (Saturday). Esteemed banquet chef, Mr. Li Jianxuan, has been invited to be the keynote speaker for the event.
Sherry Shan, the president of the Northern California Chinese School Association, expressed that the theme of this year’s conference, “Colorful Life Blooms,” was chosen because each individual’s colors are unique and beautiful in their own way. The conference will feature a variety of activities, numerous raffle prizes, and exciting content. Everyone is encouraged to participate enthusiastically.
Yashu Zhuang, the director of the Overseas Education Center, shared her anticipation for the event, emphasizing the significance of the president and board members’ handover ceremony and the special lecture by banquet chef Li Jianxuan. She remarked, “It’s surprising to see the fusion of banquet and education.”
According to the association, banquet chef Li Jianxuan will deliver a keynote speech titled “The Distance from the Kitchen to the Stage – Transforming Education through Action” at the conference. He will also showcase his culinary skills and teach plating techniques on-site. Additionally, there will be exciting performances by the family members of President Sherry Shan and other engaging activities scheduled for the day.
The conference will conclude with a karaoke session, allowing attendees to continue the celebration through music. President Sherry Shan mentioned that the association has negotiated a special deal with the hotel where attendees can book a room for the night, including taxes, for just $120, which also includes two breakfast meals.
