More than 50 windows of new property in Chengdu explode, glass falls like hail.

Recently, people in Sichuan exploded that over fifty windows in a new building in Chengdu shattered on their own. The windows on the higher floors fell apart with a crashing sound.

On May 21st, homeowners in a residential area in Chengdu, Sichuan, posted a video claiming that over fifty windows in the new building had shattered.

The video shows glass windows suddenly cracking on the upper floors of the building, pieces falling down one by one, with the glass fragments falling like raindrops or hail, accompanied by the sound of crashing. Residents were surprised by the incident.

According to a report from “People’s Concern” under Guizhou Radio Station on the 22nd, this residential area is the Taihua Jincheng community in the Longquanyi District. Property staff mentioned that they are still counting the number of affected households and the developer conducted an investigation on the 21st, awaiting the official report. Fortunately, no one was injured.

A report from “Cold and Warm Video” stated that property staff mentioned it was likely an issue during the installation of glass by the developer, and they would come to assist in replacing the glass.

“Webmaster Home” mentioned that the developer stated all glass products are from legitimate manufacturers, ruling out quality issues, speculating that the glass explosion may be due to recent large temperature changes, combined with improper use by some homeowners.

Online comments: “Wow, glass actually exploded. So scary.” “Does the entire building have structural stress issues?” “Why would it explode? If the cause isn’t found, won’t the replacements explode too?” “The temperature is too high, or the building and glass quality are too poor…”

“Check how this supplier managed to get onto the suppliers list!” “Homeowners should not be allowed to install window seals on their own, sealing windows without using the designated specifications from the property management.”
