This has sparked heated discussions among netizens. Recently, several internet users visited the filming base of “Northeast Rain Sister” only to find it locked up with no one around.
On October 8th, the topic of “Northeast Rain Sister deleting the apology video” trended on social media, triggering debates among internet users.
Reported by “Xiaoxiang Morning News” and Red Star News, “Northeast Rain Sister” deleted the apology video from her personal page, leaving only a statement dated September 30, 2024. Throughout the National Day holiday period, there were no new videos posted on Northeast Rain Sister’s account.
According to reports, it is evident that many netizens do not agree with the authenticity of the testing report on the sweet potato noodles. The report failed to detect the ingredients of the sweet potato noodles, leading netizens to believe that it evaded the most pressing consumer concerns and conducted irrelevant testing items.
During the National Day holiday, many netizens visited the filming base of “Northeast Rain Sister” in Benxi, Liaoning, and found it deserted with locked doors and windows. In the commonly seen large pots in the videos, they even discovered dirty items.
As reported by “Southern Metropolis Daily,” on October 8th, the customer service of “Northeast Rain Sister” claimed that there was no one fleeing, but family disturbances prompted Rain Sister to move out. The lack of video updates was explained as her being busy handling post-sales matters. As for the authenticity of changing accounts, the customer service only said they were “not sure.”
According to “China Newsweek,” “Northeast Rain Sister” faced consecutive controversies within a month. In early September, she was questioned for staged photos of Jinzhou rice field crabs, then later suspected of false advertising for sweet potato noodles. Moreover, she was exposed for assaulting bloggers exposing fraud, stirring up public discussions.
CCTV had previously featured “Northeast Rain Sister” and Jinzhou rice field crabs in promotional reports. On September 7th, Northeast Rain Sister admitted during a livestream that “indeed, the crabs were placed in the rice field… they are river crabs from Panjin Reservoir.” She mentioned that the skit was filmed due to an official invitation for promoting Jinzhou’s rice field crabs.
On September 23rd, bloggers “Bounty Hunter Ashes” and “Da Wa” revealed that after purchasing sweet potato noodles from “Northeast Rain Sister” in May and August, lab results showed the presence of cassava starch instead of sweet potatoes. Following this, their team went to confront “Northeast Rain Sister,” resulting in group assaults and restriction of their freedom.
After three days of silence, on September 26th, the “Northeast Rain Sister” side uploaded a video on social media and addressed the alleged assault and sweet potato noodle incidents through a livestream, issuing a public apology to netizens.

Established in August of this year, the company, with a registered capital of 3 million yuan, lists Chang Xiaoyu as the legal representative, director, and manager. Its business scope includes training services, internet sales, commercial performances, and talent agency, fully owned by Liaoning Yuhui Agricultural Technology Development Co., Ltd.
Husband of “Northeast Rain Sister,” Bai Guohui, is associated with three active companies including Benxi Changfeng Yujie Local Specialty Trading Co., Ltd., Benxi Manchu Autonomous County Yujie Food Factory, and Liaoning Yuhui Agricultural Technology Development Co., Ltd. Through direct or indirect shareholding, Bai Guohui holds controlling stakes in 28 enterprises spanning trade, media, advertising planning, and e-commerce livestreaming.
