Hello audience! Welcome to watch “Century Truth”.
Shortly after the conclusion of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), a major scandal involving the Rocket Force has erupted, leading to a widespread investigation that has not only ensnared top military and political leaders in the Rocket Force but also impacted other branches such as the Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Commission and aerospace military enterprises. Many high-ranking officials have been brought down, and a large-scale purge within the military is ongoing.
Former generals from the Air Force, who were previously believed to be less affected by the purge, started being implicated towards the end of 2025.
As the number of fallen senior generals increased, the face of the CPC was greatly affected. However, the truth has been diligently concealed as the military leadership, funded by taxpayers, owes the public transparency. Therefore, in today’s program, we will discuss the dark side of the ongoing purge of senior Air Force officials in the CPC based on reports from China and overseas disclosures.
On December 11, 2025, well-known Chinese political commentator Liu Junning revealed on social media platform X that current Air Force Commander-in-Chief General Chang Dingqiu passed away from a sudden heart attack during his “detention for investigation” by the Military Discipline Commission.
This explosive news immediately garnered widespread attention and commentary both domestically and internationally.
In mid-December 2025, Baidu Baike deleted the entries of Chang Dingqiu, Air Force Political Commissar Guo Puxiao, and Deputy Commander Yu Qingjiang from its platform. Searching for the names of these three individuals on Baidu Baike now returns a message stating that the page does not exist.
From various signs, it appears that the probability of Chang Dingqiu, Guo Puxiao, and Yu Qingjiang encountering trouble is quite high.
According to reports by the official CPC media Xinhua News Agency, former CPC Politburo member, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, and Air Force veteran Xu Qiliang passed away in Beijing on June 2, 2025, due to illness, at the age of 75.
Hong Kong media quoted veteran Beijing journalist Ma Ling’s posts on social media revealing that Xu Qiliang suffered a heart attack while jogging early in the morning and passed away before medical help could arrive.
Before the official announcement of Xu Qiliang’s death by party media, former Chinese media personnel Zhao Lanjian had already leaked the news, claiming that “Xu Qiliang has passed away”.
The program then delved into the potential reasons behind the significant purge within the Chinese Air Force, including issues related to corruption cases, internal power struggles, and irregularities in military equipment procurement. The discussion touched upon the interconnectedness of the implicated individuals, the timing of disclosures, and the overall impact on the military structure.
The program concluded by analyzing the unfolding situation within the CPC’s Air Force, emphasizing the ongoing power struggles, the purge of high-ranking officials, and the potential implications for the future of the Chinese military.
