At the opening ceremony of the new drama “Blooming Into Camellias” on July 24, mainland Chinese actress Bai Lu accidentally stepped into a gap on stage, causing concern among her fans about whether she was injured. After the footage was exposed, Bai Lu later posted on Weibo to reassure everyone that she was safe, describing the incident as just a “minor bump” and humorously calling herself “clumsy,” admitting to underestimating the height of the stage.
The leaked on-site video shows Bai Lu, dressed in a white polo shirt with a black pleated skirt costume, attending the opening ceremony of “Blooming Into Camellias” in Foshan, Guangdong on the 24th. Towards the end of the event, she was preparing to walk off the stage to interact with fans present. Wearing high heels and not noticing the height difference between the stage and the ground, she accidentally tripped and fell, resulting in slight abrasions on her knee and hands.
With the assistance of staff, she quickly got up, smiled, and reassured her fans in the audience, saying, “It’s all right, just a little scratch.” She then completed the remaining processes of singing, dancing, and taking photos.
After the event, Bai Lu took to Weibo to comfort her fans, saying, “It’s okay, just a minor mishap. I underestimated the height of the stage, haha (so clumsy). Everyone, be safe when leaving, thank you for coming to see Yuna (Bai Lu’s character in the new drama).”
Adapted from the 16-episode drama “Blooming Into Camellias,” based on the novel by Yi Shu, starring Bai Lu, Gao Haining, and Chang Huasen, with Peng Guanying making a special appearance. This drama is also Bai Lu’s transformation project of establishing her own studio and making her own choices after the expiration of her ten-year contract with Huanyu Entertainment, a production company founded by Yu Zheng.
