The Taipei International Aerospace and Defense Industry Exhibition will be held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from September 18th to 20th. This year, the exhibition will reach a new record high in scale, bringing together more than 400 exhibitors from 14 countries, with over 1,400 booths, marking a growth of over 25% compared to the previous year. The Taipei Aerospace and Defense Exhibition this year will showcase the dual strategic focus of defense autonomy and AI innovation, with a special emphasis on drones, unmanned boats, and other autonomous unmanned vehicles.
A highlight of the exhibition is the physical display of the M1A2T main battle tank, the Fast Attack Unmanned Surface Vessel, and the Cheetah wheeled armored vehicle D3 prototype. Taiwan has already received 2 batches of 80 M1A2T tanks, which will become the mainstay of Taiwan’s ground combat forces in the future, enhancing capabilities for anti-landing and coastal defense missions.
The Fast Attack Unmanned Surface Vessel has passed operational evaluations and demonstrated excellent performance during the live-fire tactical exercise “Unmanned Drone/Vessel Maritime and Air Joint Operations” on August 19th. It is planned to begin mass production next year.
The Cheetah wheeled armored vehicle, equipped with a 105mm tank gun, has undergone more than a year of improvements. The newly unveiled D3 prototype shows significant enhancements in performance and appearance, with a reduced overall height and center of gravity, improving stability and survivability.
Additionally, the exhibition features video content related to clean world initiatives and can be accessed through various platforms such as the “Mark Space” Facebook fan page, Instagram, and X Platform.
This event showcases the cutting-edge technological advancements in the aerospace and defense industry, bringing together industry leaders and experts to explore the latest innovations and developments in defense capabilities. The participation of a diverse range of exhibitors from around the world highlights Taiwan’s commitment to enhancing its defense capabilities and fostering international cooperation in the field of aerospace and defense.
