This year has seen a series of violent incidents in various regions of China, including Shanghai, Guangdong, and Hunan, involving retaliatory acts targeting society or individuals. These acts, such as car ramming, indiscriminate stabbings, and random killings, particularly harming vulnerable groups like students, have raised concerns and fears in society.

Experts have attributed the frequent occurrences of violence in Chinese society to political factors, pointing to the repercussions of the authoritarian rule of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The lack of legal justice under the CCP’s rule has bred a culture of disregard for life and a lack of accountability, leading to individuals resorting to extreme acts of violence as a form of retribution.

Renowned political commentator, Xing Tianxing, emphasized that the absence of legal justice and the propagation of atheism by the CCP have contributed to a society where individuals feel emboldened to seek revenge in brutal ways when faced with injustices. This cycle of violence poses a threat not only to the general public but also to officials within the CCP who are vulnerable when societal unrest escalates.
