Following four days of intense competition, the jury of the 7th NTD International Piano Competition announced the results on October 19 (Saturday). German contestant Robert Neumann claimed the championship gold award, along with the silver medalist, Taiwanese contestant Shih-Yeh Lu, both receiving the special award for “Best Performance of the Designated Piece” in the competition.
Gold Award: Robert Neumann (Germany)
Silver Award: Shih-Yeh Lu (Taiwan)
Bronze Award: Tang Hsing Lien (Taiwan)
Outstanding Performance Awards: Ching-Yi Lin (Taiwan), Jean-Luc Therrien (Canada)
Best Performance of the Designated Piece: Robert Neumann (Germany), Shih-Yeh Lu (Taiwan)
In the afternoon of the same day, the event organizers invited Vladimir Petrov, the gold medalist of the 2019 NTD Piano Competition, and other renowned pianists including Kiron AtomTellian, Arseniy Gusev, and Asiya Korepanova, to perform a splendid concert together with the five award-winning contestants from this year’s competition.
