In 2024, the rankings for the “Best International Airlines” were announced globally, with Asian airlines standing out, including Taiwan’s EVA Air making it into the top ten.
The “Best International Airlines” ranking is one of the comprehensive surveys conducted annually by Travel+Leisure magazine. This year, over 186,000 readers of Travel+Leisure participated in the 2024 survey, evaluating their travel experiences worldwide.
The specific criteria for airline ratings include:
1. Cabin comfort
2. In-flight service
3. Customer service
4. Value
For each rating criterion, respondents could choose among five different levels: “Excellent,” “Above average,” “Average,” “Below average,” or “Poor.” The final score for an airline is the average of these responses.
Among the top ten international airlines, six Asian airlines made the cut, with Taiwan’s EVA Air included. Middle Eastern airlines followed closely, with three companies entering the top ten.
Overall, Travel+Leisure found that readers seek comfort while flying along with warm service from cabin crew and quality food, all of which every airline on this year’s list can provide to passengers. For example, the only European airline in the top ten, Business Aviation (BO), was praised by a voter for being “value for money, attentive service, and delicious food.”
