In the early hours of Thursday in Flushing, the predominantly Chinese neighborhood in New York, a violent incident erupted as a result of road rage. Two drivers got into a heated argument after a minor collision between their vehicles, which escalated quickly when one of them pulled out a kitchen knife and viciously attacked the other, causing multiple stab wounds to the victim’s head, back, and chest. The assailant abandoned the car in the middle of the road and fled on foot, leaving the victim injured. Law enforcement authorities are currently making every effort to apprehend the suspect.
The incident took place near the intersection of 126th Street and 26th Avenue in Flushing, close to the College Point area. The bloody attack occurred around 5:30 am on the 22nd, just before the morning rush hour, shocking eyewitnesses in the neighborhood with the sudden outbreak of violence.
According to 1010Wins radio station, the two cars involved had a minor collision at an intersection before the confrontation turned into a violent altercation. The assailant exhibited extreme road rage, grabbing a kitchen knife from the car and launching a frenzied attack without hesitation.
The victim, a 47-year-old man, suffered severe cuts to his head, back, arms, and chest, resulting in profuse bleeding. He was promptly transported to the nearby New York Presbyterian Queens hospital for emergency treatment. Fortunately, the victim’s condition has since stabilized, and there is currently no threat to his life.
After the attack, the assailant, in a state of frenzy, abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot, leaving the knife behind at the scene. NYPD officers arrived at the scene, promptly cordoning off the surrounding areas and discovering the weapon left behind by the suspect on the ground near the crime scene. Police described the suspect as an Asian male around 30 years old, with short black hair, wearing a white top and blue jeans at the time of the incident. Law enforcement authorities have used the vehicle registration information left at the scene and surveillance footage from the area to identify and track down the suspect. As of the time of this report, the suspect remains at large.
