Chinese Democracy and Human Rights Alliance New York Chapter organized a gathering in Flushing, calling for the release of “Wall Pushing Movement” initiator Qiao Xinxin, accusing the crimes of the Communist Party, and urging the US government to help the Chinese people pull down the Communist Party’s internet firewall. They chanted slogans like “Topple the Firewall, Down with the Communist Party”.
The participants displayed banners with slogans like “Topple the CCP firewall, People have the right to know the truth”, and shouted: “People have the right to know the truth”, “Topple the firewall, bring down the Communist Party”, “Chinese Communist Party step down from the historical stage”.
Former Chinese lawyer Zhang Ren stated that the Chinese Communist Party is an evil and lawless political party, ruling over 1 billion Chinese people through the exploitation of a minority of privileged individuals. The CCP’s internet firewall conceals the evil truth of the Communist Party, preventing the people in China from knowing or accessing it. When freedom-loving Chinese individuals come to the United States to expose the evildoings of the CCP, the firewall is used to prevent domestic people from knowing and accessing information. The firewall is helping the barely surviving CCP to prolong their existence.
Zhang Ren pointed out, “When the firewall is demolished, the Communist Party will naturally perish.” Why is that? He explained, “Once the firewall is brought down, the Communist Party’s true nature will be fully exposed. Once the Chinese people gain freedom of information, they will know the truth, awaken, and no longer believe or follow the Communist Party. The CCP will be finished, hence the necessity to tear down the firewall.”
Furthermore, Chinese attendees at the gathering condemned the sins of the Communist Party. Lu Shihong, who faced oppression in mainland China, shared his experience of working on the coast and being deceived by the Communist Party. He said, “Cannot bear to eat, cannot bear to spend, accumulated a little money, even reluctant to build a house, obeyed the government’s advice to return to hometown for development.”
However, ultimately he was left penniless by the Communist Party. He recounted, “They promised to lease the wasteland to us to grow fruit trees and engage in farming. They were supposed to help farmers, but the land had already been sold off. To make political achievements, the government hoodwinked the common people. They demolished our orchard overnight under the pretext of illegality and inadequacy. We couldn’t make a living; when we petitioned, they arrested us, claiming we were causing trouble. We had to escape.”
