Lawmaker Kryfer shares journey of “Soul Rooted in Faith”

The four-day 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) kicked off at the United Center in Chicago on Monday, August 19. The theme of the first day was “For the People.” Current U.S. President Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and other speakers delivered keynote speeches. Biden officially passed the baton of presidential candidate qualification to current Vice President Kamala Harris.

The first day of the Democratic convention brought together numerous Democratic dignitaries, celebrities, and representatives. Biden advisor John Podesta expressed his expectations for the future of America to NTD reporter. South Carolina Representative Jim Clyburn believed that Kamala Harris is the best choice currently. Congressman Emanuel Cleaver shared how his faith in God helped him overcome poverty and eventually become an elected official.

Missouri Democratic Representative Emanuel Cleaver shared with NTD reporters the enthusiasm and vision of relationship mending that permeated the convention.

He recounted his impoverished childhood and how his family’s faith in God led him out of poverty, culminating in his journey to becoming an elected official.

During the first day of the Democratic National Convention on August 19, Biden advisor John Podesta told NTD reporters that he envisions America moving forward along a “progressive path where rights are respected,” respecting all rights and ensuring that everyone can reach their full potential.

South Carolina Representative Jim Clyburn told NTD television reporter Kelly Wright that the vibrancy of the Democratic National Convention needs to carry through to November, and he believes Kamala Harris is currently the best choice.
