The Chinese Communist Party is planning to establish a super embassy at the former site of the Royal Mint in London, with the UK government set to announce the final decision by the end of the month. On January 17, a large number of protesters gathered once again to rally against the construction of the super embassy, with former leader of the UK Conservative Party, Iain Duncan Smith, showing his support at the scene. He stated that the proposed embassy would “become a stain on the face of British freedom” and noted that all “Five Eyes” alliance countries, including the United States, are against the construction of the Chinese Communist Party’s embassy.
Many European countries are also opposed to the move, as Duncan Smith believes that this embassy is being built at the wrong time and wrong place for the wrong country.
Standing alongside other political figures and the public, he emphasized that they are taking a stand “because we believe in freedom: the freedom of Britain, and the freedom of China one day.”
He expressed concern that the Chinese Communist Party has formed an alliance with some of the world’s most evil regimes such as Russia, Iran, and North Korea, creating a “new axis” that threatens the freedom cherished by the British people and many refugees who have sought shelter in the UK.
In recent years, the Chinese Communist Party’s agenda has been seen by Western analysts as aiming to establish a “new world order.” Duncan Smith believes that such a move would signify the end of freedom, the end of the right to protest, the absence of judicial rights before the law, and total control by the state. Their response to this? No, no, no!
He pointed out that Britain faced a similar situation in the 1930s and 40s.
In the 1930s, Britain pursued a policy of appeasement towards Nazi Germany under Adolf Hitler’s leadership. It was not until 1939, after the German invasion of Poland, that Britain declared war on Germany, igniting the flames of the European theater in World War II.
