Persecuted Citizen Guo Ping Exposes Terrifying Security Check Experience in Beijing

On January 12, retired Shanghai University teacher and petitioner Gu Guoping, along with petitioner Liu Jiemei from Hongkou District, went to Beijing to petition. They were intercepted and searched at the East Tiananmen Bus Station, taken to the Tiananmen Security Management Center, and eventually sent to Jiujing Zhuang. At these two locations, they underwent terrifying security checks, including being forced to strip down to their underwear. Gu Guoping criticized the Chinese Communist Party as a typical anti-human regime.

Joining them on the petition to Beijing were three petitioners from Qiantang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province: Chen Liying, Mao Wenai, and Zhu Yaping. Their actions in Beijing were monitored by interception personnel from Qiantang District and Xiaoshan District governments in Hangzhou along the way.

Gu Guoping told Epoch Times that on the morning of January 12, when they arrived at the National Petition Bureau, the queue had already stretched two lines deep, requiring a two-day wait. Due to health reasons, he could not wait for a long time in line and gave up.

Gu Guoping said, “On the bus to East Tiananmen Square, we were intercepted and searched. Later, we were taken to the Beijing Tiananmen Security Management Center, where the police asked about everyone’s situation and their issues before sending us all to Jiujing Zhuang.”

Gu Guoping and others underwent rigorous security checks. He mentioned, “We are now at Jiujing Zhuang, the Tiananmen Security Management Center, and the Fuyou Street Police Station, where even our underwear needs to be removed for inspection. Men are checked in the restroom, while women are checked by female security guards. These so-called security checks have reached a shocking level, invading privacy excessively.”

“The Chinese Communist Party is a typical anti-human regime, oppressing the common people, forcing them to strip down for inspections. Everything from inside out, including razors, scissors, must be confiscated, regardless of size. These practices are shocking and terror-inducing, showing the extent to which the CCP fears the people, behaving like bandits and rogues in society,” he said.

Upon being deported back to Shanghai on the 15th, Gu Guoping was summoned by the Zhoujiaqiao Police Station in his jurisdiction for interrogation and was released the same day. “I showed them the diagnosis certificate from the tumor hospital, and they couldn’t find a reason to detain me because during chemotherapy I have severe hypertension, I am a critically ill patient, and the detention center cannot accommodate me. So, they didn’t detain me this time.”

Another petitioner, Liu Jiemei from Hongkou District, was also summoned to the police station for interrogation upon returning and is currently still not released.
