Nine University Forums Flooded with Counter-Messaging: Anonymous 64 Urges Students to Resist the Fourth Plenum

The fourth wave shifted to campus forums at nine universities, including Fudan University, Central South University, and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Anonymous 64 said it posted extensive messaging opposing the Fourth Plenum, urging students to “open your eyes and tear off the CCP’s ugly mask,” and set up anonymous reporting channels to encourage the sharing of deleted posts and notices on campus.

Student-community screenshots show slogans such as “Overthrow communist tyranny, realize freedom and fairness,” sparking heated discussion. Anonymous 64 emphasized that the operation aimed to awaken young people’s awareness of policy issues and free speech, warning that it would continue exposing information if campuses suppress debate.

Several universities subsequently shut down their forums or switched to real-name review systems, and some students reported being forcibly logged out, indicating tightened online controls. Anonymous 64 appealed to the international academic community to pay attention to the speech environment on Chinese campuses and said it would provide encryption tools to Chinese students to ensure alternative voices are heard.
