“I Am Not Wonder Woman” – Nicole Kidman Announces Temporary Departure from Entertainment Industry

Recently, the Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, who had a busy 2024 with multiple film and television projects, shocked the entertainment industry by announcing a temporary departure from the spotlight.

At 57, Kidman starred in films like “A Family Affair,” “Spellbound,” and “Babygirl,” as well as TV series such as “The Perfect Couple,” “Expats,” and “Lioness Season 2” last year. Her upcoming movie “Holland” is set to premiere on March 27, 2025.

Her prolific work not only garnered critical acclaim but also brought in substantial income. According to Forbes, Kidman, who holds dual American and Australian citizenship, earned a staggering $31 million in 2024, making her the only female star in the top ten highest-earning actors globally and earning her the title of “Superwoman” by many.

Kidman revealed that the demanding schedule of the past year had left her feeling exhausted. As a result, she plans to take an extended break after completing the promotional activities for “Holland.”

In a recent interview with Time magazine, Kidman expressed her discomfort with being branded as a “Superwoman.” Despite being lauded for her ability to juggle career and family, Kidman stressed that she, like many working women, struggles to find balance between the two spheres and should not be idealized as having it all together.

Kidman has four children, including Isabella Jane and Connor Anthony, whom she adopted during her marriage to Tom Cruise, and Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, her daughters with Australian country singer Keith Urban, whom she married in 2006.
